Megastar Amitabh Bacchan was conferred yet another honor. He received
Hridayanath Mangeshkar Award, instituted by Hridayesh Art, a Mumbai
based socio cultural organization. Big B was honored for his immense
contribution into Art and Culture. Legendary singer Lata Mahngeshkar was
supposed to give away this award but she was unavailable due to ill
health. Director Subhash Ghai gave away the award instead.
Singers like Shaan crooned to some remarkable songs on the occasion and Jaya Bacchan was present by her husband’s side while receiving the award. This award was earlier given to Lata ji in 2011 and Asha Bhosle in 2012.
Singer Sudesh Bhosle was present and amused the audience with his best imitation of Big B’s voice over the decades.
