EMC VNX Series Comparison Matrix

EMC VNX Products

Compare with the EMC VNXe3150 & VNXe3300 Products

EMC VNX replaces CLARiiON CX4 and Celerra

The VNX series is a member of the VNX family and is EMC’s next-generation mid tier unified storage platform, combining all the benefits of Celerra and CLARiiON into a single product line. Designed for mid tier-to-enterprise storage environments that require advanced features, flexibility, and configurability, the VNX series provides significant advances in simplicity, efficiency, and performance. The table below shows the different VNX series products and what they replace.

The VNX Series combines the benefits of Celerra and CLARiiON products into a single product line. Restrictions apply when particular VNX Models are integrated with older Celerra and CLARiion CX products. Most of these restrictions revolve around the array based data protection methods such as MirrorView and RecoverPoint. Contact Storage Networks to learn of any restrictions that you may encounter when integrating the VNX into your particular CX, CX3, CX4, or Celerra infrastructure.
