Taapsee was born on August 01, 1988 in Ludhiana, Punjab. she was a software engineer before pursuing modelling which eventually led her to acting. Taapsee also won Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face and Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin, during her modelling days.She made her debut through the Telugu movie "Jhummandhi Naadam" in 2010. Later she has appeared in some Tamil and Telugu movies. Taapsee is selected as the heroine for the Malayalam movie "Doubles". In Doubles she will be appearing opposite Superstar Mammootty.
